EGYPT EGYPT, published 2004, is a novella concerned with telling all the
carpetbaggers in Austin, Sam's hometown, to get off his lawn.
It was described by the Austinist as "brilliantly insightful, socioculturally-relevant fiction."
They also said: "If ever there were to be an official chronicler of the underdog life in this town,
Sam Ramos would have our unhesitating endorsement."
Finally, they said, the novel has "an atmosphere of amateurish linear storytelling."
